Our Team

Our services are organised, lead and run by members of our whole Tibbs Team - made up of Management, Staff and Volunteers.
All are passionate about providing the best services possible for people with dementia and their family carers & supporters.

 Our Staff

Our team of experienced Support Workers assist at various services. All of these people all have an employment background in dementia – within our local Social Services Older Persons Team, Community Mental Health Team or Bedford Hospital Memory Clinic – either as qualified Social Workers or Support Workers.

Our Client Coordinator is a direct point-of-contact for all clients – providing ongoing personalised information, advice and support – to to ensure that all all feel welcome and appropriately supported by our services, throughout their unique dementia journey.

Our Community Development Worker works alongside people with dementia to support them to develop links and opportunities locally – working together to build a genuinely dementia friendly & aware community in Bedford & the surrounding area.

 Our Volunteers

Our services would not be possible without our amazing team of over 60 committed, trained volunteers – who do everything from running groups, supporting service-users, counselling, accountancy & record keeping, publicity, fundraising, playing music, making refreshments… to everything in between!

Almost all of our volunteers have personal experience with dementia – either through caring for someone with dementia or through previously working in this field – and thus they are highly attuned to the specific needs of our client base.
